Brief Description:  Finished Riveting Outboard Leading Edge & Installe

Had my Dad here for Christmas, so he and I finished riveting the outboard LE ribs to the spar. I'm glad he was here to help. I know I would have royally honked that up otherwise. Had some gapping between the ribs and the spar in a few locations, but there was nothing I could do about it. No way to clamp the flanges down tight to the spar to stop it. It's one of those difficult to access spots that you just can't do much with.

We also installed the Left tank access plate. I decided to use some fuel resistant lubricant to seal the cork gasket because I couldn't get the cork gasket to seal during my first leak check. I also decided to replace the normal phillips head screws in the plate with stainless socket head cap screws. Both of these things were suggested by several other builders that I read online. The lubricant worked great. No leaks except around the drain pipe thread fitting. I can fix that later. Woo hoo!
