Brief Description: completed panel and started wiring

These hours were accumulated as follows: I had not been logging Barrie Strachan's hours as I did not realize there would be more than just a few. However his contribution has been steady and continuing. Therefore I have added him to these listings and adding the approximate 80 hours which he had already worked. During this time, the rudder was installed and the control cables for the rudder and the elevator were installed and tensioned. The instrument panel was supplied by Zenith as part of the avionics kit but needed some extra holes added. Furthermore, the solid panel which was part of the basic structure had on holes at all. Barrie used his milling machine to pair the two up and create all the holes for all the instruments and controls. He then finished the panel in crinkle black finish, a very professional job. The trays for the radio, transponder, audio box, etc. were fitted into the panel using the added supports also built by Barrie. Restraints for the door on the glove box were made of 1/16th inch steel cable. Then the emphasis was to bring the wiring from the back of the aircraft toward the front through the three bulkheads which form part of the structure. All three lights and strobes were wired together and a line brought forward towards the switch. This terminal is on the right hand side above the bottom inspection hole. The trim tab wires are in the left hand longerons and through the bulkheads toward the switch on the panel. All three antennas are installed and the coax attached and ready to be brought forward.
