These hours were used to take apart the clico'd left wing top skin, debur it, treat the parts with corrosion prevention, reassemble it with clicos, then rivet it. While the wing skin was off, the wingtip nav/strobe light was wired (see photo 1) and the 4 conductor shielded milspec cable was run to the inboard part of the wing at the rear of the main spar. The pitot tube was installed and 20 feet of 3/8 in OD (1/4 in ID) clear vinyl tubing was attached by spring clamps to it and run to the inboard end of the wing in the trailing edge of the wing.
The IB and OB parts of the left wing slats were joined and attached to the leading edge of the wing temporarily. They will be removed and stored until the wings are installed on the plane, this to facilitate easy handling during installation.
