Brief Description: Deburring and fitting the servo
This includes 2 hours done on 2/4/09 and 0.8 hours of Carole's time.
Started the job of deburring the elevator. This is a big tedious job which requires taking the elevator completely apart and deburring every hole on both sides. There are a lot of holes. At the end of this session this is about 90% done. Also corrected the position of the trim tab linkage and studied the installation of the servo. It has been noted that the connecting rod needs to be cut to size. The order of installation of trim tab with final riveting has to be carefully done. I have decided to use #6 stainless steel screws and nylon lock nuts to attach the servo which will be better if it ever needs to be repaired or replaced. Also am considering using rivnuts for the inspection plate. The kit plans call for riveting both of these on permanently.
