After getting the fuselage straight and level, thepreviously drilled holes in the extensions to the bottom and RHS skin did not fit those in the longerons and to reinstall them would have re-introduced the twist in the fuselage. Therefore, new extensions were fabricated from sheet metal. The metal in the old RHS skin was used.

First a cardboard model was carefully fitted into the spaces and then this was replicated in the sheet metal using the band saw and a file to smooth and straighten the edges. These were held in place with duct tape and then the holes were back drilled through the longerons or else found with a "hole finder" and drilled through the skin.

A careful examination of ALL the required holes in the RHS skin was made and the final few either back drilled or else found with a hole finder. As of this date the new RHS is ready to remove, to add the diagonal "L" section, to deburr, to treat for corrosion and then to install permanently.
