Work continued on the rear fuselage. It has now been straightened out and the job now is to put it back together. The complication is that there are holes in the framework which must be used to put the new holes in the new right skin while keeping the fuselage straight. We are now at the point of putting in the rear bulkheads and it turns out that this is very sensitive with regards to keeping the fuselage straight. I have ordered new ones.
Meanwhile I started on the wings. The first step, following both the photoguide and the purchased DVD, is to put flanges on the leading edge of the forward ribs. The flanges are made of "L" material. Photo 1 shows the stages starting on the right. Slots are cut into the "L" at the designated points. This is filed smooth and curved onto the rib (Image 2), held there by clamps. Note that the predrilled pilot holes in the rib are covered by the metal and not the gaps. Drill through the pilot holes and clico. Later, add the slat connection piece between the two pieces and drill for A4 rivets, deburr, treat and river.
