Brief Description: re-assembled and riveted firewall
These hours include 1.7 hours on 6/12 and 4.2 hours by Carole.
The parts on the firewall were treated with the Cortex primer obtained from Zenith. This is a clear coating I put on by brush. It has the disadvantage that it clogs the drilled holes making it difficult to re-insert the rivets.
All the parts were re-assembled and rivet onto the firewall. Some rivets were difficult to do since they were too near flanges to get a straight shot at the heads. Some will be re-done at the next session. As shown on the drawings, 8 rivets were countersunk to avoid abrasion to the nose wheel strut bungee cord. This was done without major trouble.
Otherwise the firewall is finished and ready to attach to the forward fuselage.
