Brief Description:  Baggage area. Difficult 3D problem.

Of these hours, Carole had 4.7.

Carole finished putting the stiffners on the two parts of the baggage compartment back and bottom. Then the problem of installing these parts were studied. They attach to both the top and each side and there are holes on each which must line up. So we had to temporarily put a side on the top panel to get the undrilled holes correct. This is somewhat awkward as the sides are flexible and unwieldly. Also, the extrusions have to fit in between the skin and the stiffners along the extrusion. It is tedious with two people. We used duct tape generously as temporary holds. We finally got the left side on.

The baggage back flange conflicted with the vertical stiffner and we had to trim the stiffner to make it fit. If the stiffner had been put on facing the other way this would have been prevented but the plans show it as we have it. As a result we decided that in the next session we will also check the right side for its fit with the top part.

As the session ended all the parts were taken apart awaiting deburring and there were no pictures of interest.
