Diagnosing engine problem....Three days agoGloria and I had taken off to see the leaves and about two miles out I noticed a vibration, partial loss of power, nd fumes and light smoke even entering cockpit. Did a precautionary approach to M71 and taxiied to hangar. Oil was coming out the tailpipe, bottom of cowl and left cowl split. We did a compression check and forward oassenger side cylinder was zero. Pulled plug and it was grounded and piston was shiney. Other three were black. Very discouraged.
