Temporarily install elevators and aft elevator pushrod.
Clamp elevator in neutral position and verify bellcrank and control yoke are in neutral position.
Install control stick pushrod. The 5702-75-60 washers that Vans specifies will not fit an aN3 bolt. Washers were drilled using a #12 drill. All pivot hardware has been replaced with drilled bolts, castle nuts, and cotter pins.
Install control sticks.
Verify control sticks are parallel. The control stick pushrod needed to be lengthened by 1/2 turn on each rod end bearing.
Torque and pin pushrod bolts.
Verify full movement of the control stick. Minor interfenece was found between the tunnel walls and control stick pushrod. Slot in tunnel walls was ground to provide clearance.
Verify elevator travel using digital level. Travel is 29.5 degrees up and 25 degrees down.
