Brief Description: Install Wing Tip

1142 - 1506 1754 - 1906 Fabricate a 1/2" piece of 032 to use as a flange guide. Layout flange trim line on right wing tip using guide. Trim wing tip to within 1/16" of line, using small cutoff wheel. Test fit tip on wing. Layout and cut aft wing tip for aileron and hinge per plans, using small cutoff wheel. Test fit tip on wing. Smooth and reduce wing tip flange using vixen file and 80 s/p. Test fit tip on wing. Repeat until tip fits within 1/16" of tip flange and clear of aileron and hinge. Install tip on wing. Match drill wing skin holes in tip using 340 drill, cleco every hole as drilled from front to back, alternating top and bottom. Remove tip from wing. Final drill wing skin holes using #28 drill, dimple for #6 screw. 48x. Final drill holes in tip flange using #28 drill.
