Brief Description:
Pressure Test Fuel Lines
1224 - 1448
Fabricate a test valve made from a Schraeder Valve and AN fittings.
Cap tunnel bulkhead fuel fittings outside of tunnel.
Pressurize fuel lines, through fuel valve, one at a time, to 55 PSI.
Check each fitting using soapy water, check for bubbles. Each fitting was examined continuously for 90 seconds for bubbles.
Three of the 8 fittings developed very small bubbles.
Removed leaking lines.
Lapped flare with 600 sp and a -6 fitting.
Cleaned flare and reinstalled line.
Repeated test.
All 8 fittings now show no bubbles at 55 PSI for 90 seconds.
