Brief Description:  Fabricate Fuel Valve Supply & Return Lines

1500 - 1700

Design and fabricate fuel valve supply and return lines.

I have chosen to go with EFII electronic fuel injection and ignition. This fuel system requires a full flow return line to the fuel tanks, and a duplex fuel valve. After several iterations, a pair of supply lines and a pair of return lines were fabricated.

The supply lines were bent 90 degrees, starting 3 1/2" from the valve end. The next 90 degree bend was located such that the legs of the "U" measured 4 3/4" center to center. When connected to the valve, this measurment lines up with the stock fuel tank supply bulkhead fitting in the tunnel.

The tubing and fittings clear the brake line fittings per the plans.

The return lines were bent 180 degrees, starting 2 1/2" from the valve end, using the Imperial tubing bender. The 180 degree bend was done in one bend. The center to center distance between the legs of the "U" allows the return line to nest in the bends of the supply lines while still remaining above the supply line AND below the tunnel cut outs for the control system.

All tubing ends on valve side were deburred and smoothed using debur tool, 180 and 400 sp.

The ends were then double flared using the Mastercool flare tool.

Attach supply and return lines to valve and verify fit in tunnel.
