Brief Description: Fabricate Andair Valve Mount

1030 - 1300 Using the Andair valve, I needed to move the stock mount and fabricate a new one. Previously located, marked and drilled 3/4" angle for new mount. Cleco angles to tunnel. Fabricate valve mount plate from .063 sheet. Locate and drill mounting holes in sheet. Temporarily attach valve to mount plate with screws and nuts. Clamp plate to angles in tunnel. Measure and cut extension rod to length. Install extension in valve. Install tunnel top with valve handle on tunnel. Verify extension rod properly inserted in handle collar. Verify correct location of valve. Ensure extension perpendicular with handle and valve. Match drill mounting holes in angles and plate. Remove angles from tunnel. Dimple holes in tunnel sides for flush rivets. Final drill mount plate and angles using #19 drill. Install nut plates on angles. Debur and smooth all edges using s/b wheel. Fabricate doubler for tunnel top from .032 sheet. Match drill all holes. Locate and drill holes for double rivets. Machine countersink tunnel top for flush rivets.
