As this was the first attempt using bender and flare tool, the first line made was eventually scrapped, due to excessive number of bends. Second attempt was much better.
Both ends of tubing were cut, deburred, and smoothed prior to flaring.
Both ends were double flared using a MasterCool, model 71480, 37 degree hydraulic flaring tool to make the double flare.
According to the Airframe and Powerplant Mechanics Handbook, the proper flare for 5052 tubing is the double flare.
Double flare looks much better than single flare in test pieces.
