Brief Description: Rivet Baggage Door Frame, Skin

1200 - 1324 1412 - 1630 Dimple baggage door skin, closeout panel, and frames per plans. Cleco hinge to frame. Rivet hinge to frame using p-squeezer. Cleco frames to skin. Cleco Lock doubler to frames, skin. Place door on flat table. Weight door to hold it flat while riveting. Rivet skin to frames and frames to themselves per plans using 3x gun and p-squeezer. After reading other builder's sites, I decided to add a stiffener to the middle of the door. Fabricate stiffener from scrap J channel. Locate and drill holes in stiffener flange. Match drill holes in skin using #40 drill and stiffener as a guide. Debur and smooth all edges using s/b wheel Dimple skin and stiffener for flush rivets. As I need to prime the stiffeners, I decided to prepare some other parts as well. Separate ruddle pedals and doublers using bandsaw. Debur and smooth all holes and edges of rudder pedal parts using bench sander and s/b wheels.
