Brief Description:  Layout and Cut Aft NACA Vents

1300 - 1530

Using info from VAF, a location was chosen for the aft NACA vents in the fuselage sides. This location is aft of the rear baggage bulkhead and parallel to the fuselage longerons.

A parallel center line was drawn on each side of the fuselage. According to the VAF forum, the vent was center in between the fuselage bulkheads and the aft portion of the cut out is approximately 34 1/4" from the static ports.

Final shape NACA opening using files, grinders, s/b wheel, 320 s/p.

Layout mounting holes in SV-1 flange.

Drill holes using #40 drill.

Clamp drilled SV-1 to other SV-1 and two SV-10s.
