I received the overhead switch panel from steinair. They did the CF overlay, drilled holes, engraved, and clear coated the panel.
I decided to use Honeywell TL switches throughout as all of the locking toggles were from this series. Installed four 1TL1-2 ON-OFF switches in panel. Installed one 2TL1-10A switch for the taxi/landing light control. Installed PWM controller for the glareshield fans.
I needed to clean up all of the drilled holes to final diameter.
A spacer was fabricated for the PWM controller shaft as it was a split shaft. The spacer fits in the split and prevents the shaft from deforming when the knob set screw is tightened. The knob was then clocked and installed.
Next I terminated the fan wiring with a 4 position Deutsch connector. The matching connector in the overhead was also installed. The system was powered and connected then checked for proper operation.
