Today I spent wiring the Bus Manager control harness.
Several wires were removed from the Molex plug. These deletions were presented to Robert at flyefii to ensure correct functioning after the wire removal. These included the two start solenoid drive wires, two battery select wires, a the pushbutton momentary power wire. As I will be using the VPX for these functions, the wires were unnecessary.
Removed the fuel pump relay because the soldered connectors were not allowing the complete connection of the wiring to the relay. This was rectified by using an appropriate uninsulated terminal crimper amd crimping new ends on the wiring.
Next, the fuel pressure wire for the bus manager was spliced to the fuel pressure sensor wiring, and soldered. A Deutsch connector was then installed on the wiring for the GEA 24 to match the previously installed connector on the fuel pressure sensor.
All of these tasks were made more difficult due to the need to install them in place, near the sub panel.
