Brief Description:
Install Rudder - Empennage Attach
1212 - 1300 1330 - 1354
Install jam nuts on rod end bearings for rudder, 3x.
Thread rod end bearings into rudder, setting center line to spar distance at 3/4", top and bottom.
Install rudder on VS using top and bottom bolts.
Verify free movement of rudder, stop to stop.
Verify proper rudder throw of 35 degrees, measured per plans, at 2 3/16". Needed to file
rudder stops slightly.
Remove rudder.
Install center rod end bearing, set to 3/4".
Install rudder and check proper alignment of center rod end bearing with AN3 bolt.
