Received Fedex delivery. Driver would not come to residence so had to meet him in a parking lot about 6 miles from home. Scheduled delivery between 1800 - 2000. Driver called at 1630 and said he was 15 minutes from lot. Hurried home from work, hooked up trailer, found some help and went to lot. Unloaded crate onto trailer, driver departed before crate could be thoroughly inspected. Upon inspection, crate had been speared by a fork truck. The force of the hit broke the crate around the HS-1003 HS rear spar. A claim was immediately filed with Fedex. Contacted Van's to get suggestions for how to proceed.
Edit: 28Feb12 Decided to replace HS-1003. Noticed some deformation of the spar in a couple of areas. Called Van's and had another shipped...via Fedex. Claim filed.
