I decided to reinforce the headliner fiberglass sheet in the corner area described previously. This amounted to wetting out a 1" x 4" piece of fiberglass tape and applying it to the backside of the sheet using standard techniques. The sheet was taped to the cabin top to preserve the correct radius. Plastic was used to prevent the epoxy from adhering to the cabin top.
Next, I installed the vent levers per the Aerosport instructions. The levers were semi polished and then clearcoated. The levers were attached with specified hardware.
The vent diverters were then modified per the instructions, to clear the cabin top bolts. In this case, there were two bolts to clear instead of one, as indicated in the instructions. The diverters were test fit with the panel installed.
