The armrest was cut to facilite removal without removing the fuel selector.
A carbon fiber insert was fabricated to fit in the cutout and match the carbon fiber weave.
Several spacers were fabricated from 063 and 040 sheet to use as a bushing betrween the carbon fiber armrest and the tunnel cover. All spacers were drilled and deburred using standard techniques.
I settled on the andair valve bushing being mounted on top of the tunnel cover, then a 040 spacer, then the carbon fiber insert, follwed by the fuel selector fascia. This arrangement allows for proper spacing of the fascia while supporting the armrest cut out.
