Today I fabricated a pass through for the console wires in the top of the tunnel cover.
To facilitate future maintenance, I decided to create a keyhole slot in the small mid tunnel cover. This allows that particular cover to be easily removed in the event maintenance within that portiuon of the tunnel is required.
To preserve the rigidity of the tunnel cover, I fabricated a doubler from a piece of 063 formed angle. This doubler will be fastened to the mid tunnel cover using four 8-32 screws. Nut plates were installed on the doubler using standard techniques. The short piece of conduit was secured to the doubler using E6000 adhesive. Thiss will allow the doubler to remain in position when the tunnel cover is removed.
