Brief Description:  Install Instrument Panel

1500 - 1800

It was necessary to route an additional wire in the tunnel conduit. This wire was a 22-3-S, and will be used for the electric rudder trim control pot. Routing this wire proved to be relatively easy.

Next, I installed a 3 place Deutsch connector on this wire to facilitate connection to the actuator control board, which was previously wired. Standard techniques were used.

The tunnel conduit wire bundles were then organized and tie wrapped.

The USB power wire was routed to the aux fuse block.

I then worked on connecting the primary and secondary alternator field power wires to the voltage regulators. At this point, the primary bus sense wire was also routed and connected to the regulator. The secondary bus sense wire will be routed and installed with the circuit breaker panel.

These wire were routed in convenient harness branches. While this sounds easy, several iterations were necessary to optimize the routing. each iteration required installing tie wraps and when the routing changed, all those tie wraps were then removed, relocated, and reinsalled...I am glad I purchased a thousand tie wraps...

Other harness branches were then organized and tie wrapped.

It may not appear in these photos but the installation is rapidly becoming a neat wire harness.
