1600 - 1700

I spent the majority of the afternoon making a shipping box for all of the CF panels to send to Steinair for finishing. I have the box made and parts wrapped but need to get some packing peanuts to fill the box.

I did work on the aircraft for an hour. I found that a 100 degree SS flathead screw 2 1/4" long is not available. Thes screws will secure the gA35 antenna to the cabin top. The issue is that the antenna is already countersunk for the 100 degree flathead. My solution was to use the Smithy lathe to center bore an MS24693 flathead screw with a #20 drill. This separates the head of the screw from it's body and provides a clearance hole for a #8 screw. These 100 degre bushings were deburred on the scotchbrite wheel and then installed on a 2 1/4" long pan head screw. This enabled me to use a standard pan head screw in a countersunk hole.
