I spoke with Chris at Steinair today about the GEA 24 harness. I questioned the fact that the elevator, aileron, and flap position sensors were wired through the GEA 24 but the control wires would originate in the VPX, as the VPX has some advanced functions that I would like to take advantage of. He said that the position sensors should match the control wires and that he recommended removing the applicable wires from the J243 connector.
Removed J243 connector from airframe to facilitate removal of the specified pins.
Disaaembled the J243 connector.
Removed the elevator, aileron, and flap position wiring from the J243 connector.
Reassembled the J243 connector.
Reinstalled J243 connector and wiring in airframe.
Installed two additional 22AWG through the cabin top brace to the overhead console. Not sure if I will need them but better to install them now, they can easily be removed if necessary.
