Temporarily attach switch panel to cabin top and position cabin top on fuselage.
Verify fit of previously made switch panel. Unfortunately, the switch panel turned out too large. After more consideration and measurement, switch panel was cut down by 1 1/4". A new top piece was fabricated and bonded in position.
Cover overhead console with packing tape to prevent epoxy from bonding to it.
An epoxy, micro, cabo mixtured was prepared.
Epoxy mix was forced into gap between the switch panel and overhead console to fill the gap and fabricate a custom fit for the switch panel. When cured, the switch panel will be removed and sanded. Once the final sanding is complete, the foam switch panel mold will be used to fabricate a fiberglass panel , which will be bonded to the overhead console.
