Today I worked on the wing root fairings, locating and indexing the riblet.
Installed pitot tube and connected pitot and AOA tubing. I needed to install two Deutsch connectors for the control unit as I was not satisfied with the original connections. Standard techniques were used and DT connectors were installed. I could not complete the install due to being short one connector...
Worked on the flaps. Installed the MS24665-151 cotter pins in the right flap hinge bolts after securing them with no slop. The left flap was too close to the left aileron, about 1/8", so I shimmed the hinges with one AN960 washer. This facilitated a gap of 3/16" which was satisfactory. The -151 cotter pins were then installed.
