Removed cowling. The lay up from yesterday cured very nicely. Some minor air bubbles but for the most part, very smooth. I was also concerned about the rigidity of that area. As it turns out, the three layers of f/g cloth made for a very rigid area.
This session, I used the Multi tool to sand the cowling overlap. Several air bubbles were located and removed. The area was the cleaned and a 24" length of 1" f/g tape was wet out.
A light coat of epoxy was brused on the cowl overlap and into the air bubble pits.
The tape was then applied to the left and right cowl overlap.
Tomorrow, I will begin installing the skybolt flanges.
