Brief Description:  Install Charge/Jump Port, Stick Grip Wiring

1630 - 1854 2048 - 2142

Today I finished the charge/jump port wiring. Wires were routed and shortened as necessary. Ring terminals were crimped and soldered. Terminal was protected with double wall heatshrink. Repeat for secondary port.

Next, I decided to add the final two stick grip button wires, as it is easy to do this now. The DB9 connector on the left side was opened and two wires were added to the open pins. These wires were then routed across the cabin. The wire were mid wire spliced, soldered, and heatshrink covered. The right side connector was opened and the open pins were filled. connecting the wires in this fashion allows control from either stick.

The extra recog wire was then attached to the lighting bus located behind the right GDU. This allows one power source to feed each wingtip through the extra wire. An additional wire was connected to the two bussed wires and routed to the area under the right seat, near the stick switch wiring that was just completed.

Wiring was verified using a DMM.
