After some consideration, I decided to add a piece of aluminum angle fastened to the center stiffener and GMU22 Mount. A small angle bracket was fabricated and riveted to the backside of the mount. The support was fabricated and clamped in place.

Next, the fuselage was leveled using a digital level. The GMU22 mount was then leveled to with 0.5 degrees of the fuselage. The stiffener was then match drilled to the support.

The support was then clecoed in position.

The rigidity of the mount was checked and found to be rigid with respect to the fuselage and bulkhead.

All holes were deburred and all edges smoothed. The doubler and mount were clecoed in place.

The support was secured in place with brass hardware.

The doubler and mount were then riveted to the bulkhead using AN470-4 rivets.

A final check of the mount indicated it was still level within 0.5 degrees.

I received the VPX J8 connector from Steinair. Repinned J8 connector.
