I received the system 32 harness last week. Unfortunately, there is no way the stock harness is going to work for my application, as most of the wiring is far too short. I spoke with Robert about lengthening the wires and he suggested I send him new measurements and he would fabricate a new harness.
So, today I laid out the ECU location and the firewall connector locations. They will be in the upper corner of the passenger side firewall. This position allows for the most direct route to the ECUs.
I fabricated two doublers; one stainless steel for the firewall side, and an aluminum one for the cabin side. These doublers will support the thin firewall in the location of the connectors.
Standard techniques were used to fabricate the doublers.
The firewall was then drilled for the connectors and deburred.
