Today I worked on installing the J243 connector for the GEA 24.
This connector deals with the engine sensors.
I installed the connector and then routed the applicable wires through the firewall. The bundle was secured using tie wraps and heat shrink.
Determined the routing for the oil temp sensor.
Prepare wires and installed knife connectors on the wires. I decided to use these connector instead of soldering because the oil temp sensor does not have a removable plug like the othe engine sensors. This means that if the sensor were to fail and the wires were soldered, I would need to cut and solder the short fine wires again. With the knife connectors, it is simple to disconnect them and replace just the sensor.
