Brief Description:  Install Pitch and Yaw Servos

1230 - 1500

Today I installed the pitch and yaw servos.

The yaw servo was first. I installedl the tiller and bow on the servo per Garmin's instructions. The bridle cables were installed next, per Garmin's instructions. The yaw servo was then installed in the mount using the specified AN hardware.

Next, the rudder was centered and clamped. The rudder pedals were used to remove any slack in the rudder cables. The bridle cables were then attached to the rudder cables using the provided clamps. The clamps were attached just snug so that the tiller could be centered. Once the tiller was centered, the clamps were torqued to the recommended spec.

The pitch servo was intalled in the mount using AN hardware.

The provided over center stop was installed next.

The pushrod linkage was attached to the outermost hole in the servo arm with specified hardware.

The pushrod was attached to the elevator bellcrank as specified.

Fit was verified. I will need to verify full range of motion once the elevator is installed as the elevator mechanical stop is provided by the elevator horn.
