Brief Description: Install Windows

1630 - 1900 Today was spent installing the aluminum windshield fairing. Finish masking windshield. Scuff all aluminum bonding surfaces with scotchbrite pad. Clean windshield surface. Apply 3M VHB tape across the lower front of windshield to aid in fairing retention. Mix canopy/windshield sealant per instructions. Using Semco pneumatic gun, apply sealnt beads to lower windshield joint, fuselage, and windshield approximately 1/4" from the edge of fairing. Install fairings and cleco in place. Burnish area where VHB tape was installed. Burnish all fairing edges to distribute sealant. Wipe excess sealant from joints and edges. Remove lower masking tapes. Install weighted clamps to aid in holding fairing flush with windshield. Remove upper masking tapes. Clean up excess sealant.
