This is the first entry after a lightning strike fried the shop computer.
A new computer was installed and reloaded.
I spent time on the 6th and 7th designing and fabricating contactor mounts for the main DC busses.
I am using a hybrid system based on the Z-14 diagram. I was not comfortable running two #8 wires from aft to front wired direct to the batteries as there would be no way to isolate the batteries. I opted for the addition of two bus feed contactors for that possibility. It means two extra switches, however, in the unlikely event of a short, I can disconnect the battery from the faulted bus feed.
Jumpers were fabricated from #2 welding cable to connect the contactors.
