Brackets were fabricated using standard techniques.
Several installs and removals were necessary to optimize the mount and prevent any interference and binding.
Once the final position was determined, the brackets were clamped and match drilled.
Nut plates were installed as necessary.
All holes and edges were deburred and smoothed.
Actuator was installed using AN hardware.
Actuator was checked for operation and range of motion. Before I began the replacement, I indexed the torque tube with marks at the correct full up and full down position. The new actuator duplicates these end points exactly.
Unfortunately, when all hardware was torqued, a small area of interference was located. Tomorrow I will need to remove the actuator one more time to correct the binding.
