Brief Description: Fabricate Rudder Trim, Install New Flap Actuator

1618 - 2130 Using standard techniques, fabricate rudder trim bellcrank from 080 2024 sheet. Install actuator and rod end bearings to verify fit and range of motion. Unfortunately, I am short some 10-32 threaded rod so I moved on to the new flap actuator. The new actuator has a built in potentiometer. This will eliminate the RAC POS-12 and the problems associated with it. Remove old actuator. Fabricate new mount brackets to replace the originals from 2024 angle using standard techniques. Fabricate actuator mounts from 2024 1 1/2" angle per PH Aviation instruction. Fabricate two aluminum spacers for actuator. Spacers are 5/16 ID, 3/4 OD, and 1/2 long. This allows clearance on the actuator. Fabricate spacer for original mount. Spacer is 1/4 ID, 5/8 OD, and 1 3/8 long. The next two entries will include the photos.
