Today was spent trimming the aerosport su panel to fit. Fit was achieved using a vixen file around the edge.
The subpanel was clecoed to the forward fuselage and screwed to the side brackets.
Next, a piece of 1/8 x 1 1/4 x 1 1/4 angle was clamped to the front of the subpanel between the side brackets. This angle provided rigidity to the subpanel while determining the sub panel brace location and design.
The design was established and two braces were fabricated from 032 sheet, using standard techniques.
The braces were then clamped to the sub panel and fuselage structure and match drilled.
The braces and subpanel were removed and deburred. Two 8-32 nut plates were installed on the subpanel flange to secure the brace.
