Begin installation of Silicone baffling material. I decided to use the Brown Aircraft HD material. It has a 32 oz glass mat sandwiched between the silicone and a lightly textured surface. It definitely has a "grain" but has been really nice to work with so far.
The backup strip were a great help as the profile for each piece was already determined.
I allowed 1 3/4" silicone above the aluminum baffle. Test fitting the top cowl showed this to be more than adequate. Once all sections are clecoed in place, I will final trim the edge.
