Shine light throu firewall flange holes, drill holes in cowl for clecos. These holes are drilled in material that will be removed.
Drill and fasten nose of top cowl to backplate template using 2 8-32 screws.
Install lower cowl, cleco previously drilled holes in nose of top cowl.
Using previously drilled holes in top cowl flange, match drill lower cowl for temporary clecos.
Cleco top and bottom cowl, verify fit and measurements.
Mark approximate cowl side joint on cowl and fuselage.
Remove cowl.
Cleco all holes of firewall flange.
Machine c-sink all skybolt brackets for flush rivets.
Using skybolt instructions, layout position of bracket on cowl side joint such that fasteners on side joint line up with fastener on firewall. Not sure if I am using a side joint hinge at this point so layout matters.
Design and fabricate a double bracket for the skybolt fasteners at cowl side joint.
