Designed a simple jig to postion the gear leg fairings to ensure that they are not twisted. Two framing squares were clamped to a pair of V blocks. The two squares were place such that the fairing just fit between them and weighted with shot bags so they would not move. A line was drawn on the table using a straight edge from the corner of each square. Next, a piece of 063 x 1/2 U channel was mark with a centerline and taped to the table with carpet tape, centered on the line drawn on the table. The U channel centers the leading edge of the fairng and it is easy to position the trailing edge directly above the leading edge using the two squares.
Clamps were used to hold the trailing edge in proper position. Tape was the applied to the TE per plans.
