Continue with fabrication of hinge pocket covers. Most time today was spent trying to find the correct shape of the pieces that make up the front pocket cover. Through several iterations, I found the right shapes. I traced the shapes on another piece of scrap f/g for the opposite door in the hopes that the pockets would be the same...unfortunately they are not. I guess I don't need to document my thoughts on the factory fiberglass work again...
Rough all bonding surfaces with 60 s/p.
So with the three pieces that fit clecoed in place, I bonded the edges with several drops of CYA glue.
Remove clecos.
Cut two strips of 9 oz cloth for corner reinforcement.
Mix epoxy and wet out cloth.
Apply a light coat of epoxy on all bonding surfaces.
Apply cloth to inside corners of pocket cover.
Add cabo to remaining epoxy and apply to bonding surfaces.
