I rough trimmed, measured, close trimmed, sanded and then rubbed on the first coat of 2K primer (using rubber gloves) over the upper surface of the fairing. I find this is the best way to attack pin holes first up, as the pressure overcomes most of the surface tension to push paint into holes. They will inevitably dry into shallow divets again, but are still easier to fill with the second and subsequent coats. I still have some carbon work to do on the back of this fairing, but it's working out just fine.
