I needed to leave the LGIF to set for longer, so I went about something else in the meantime.
The 1/4" shaft of the lower rod ends is slightly undersize and the AN960-416L washers are oversize, which won't do, so I turned a 1/4-28' threaded stainless washer to get a perfect fit. They're only small, but did the trick perfectly.
