We shortened the ally tip wedge to clear the composite stiffeners and nutplates, then drilled and secured it in place with soft rivets in a bed of epoxy resin. We then created a tape bridge to the wall of the tank, layed carbon fibre support, a polystyrene space filler and capped everything off with epoxy and microlight. When this sets we'll trim away the excess and file to match the end of the aileron with a standard 3/16"gap.
