I trimmed off five hinge eyes per the plans and fabricated two hinge pins.
When that was done, I walked around the other side of the wing and couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the upwards pressure on the upper wing skin. I trolled through the plans again and I had done everything right, but the forum illustrated that I'm not the only one to have discovered this problem. It seems that some of the flap braces came from the factory blind riveted to the lower skin slightly misaligned ... ignore these holes! I drilled out all the rivets and found that the natural lay of the bottom skin was perfect without the brace attached. Tomorrow I will fix it.
