I linished the epoxy & Aerosil on the second wheel pant, sanded the entire surface and applied a thick coat of 2K primer by brush, pressing paint into the remaining pin holes with my finger as I went. This seems to be a successful way of forcing pin holes to at least be wet out with paint, even if it does dry slightly shallower.
