01 - Ground tab and relay Snap Jacks
Tonight I riveted on a ground tab and soldered a Snap Jack (bi-directional zener diodes) to each of the start circuit and avionics relays. They help suppress the high voltage generated when the coil collapses as the switch is turned off, thereby helping the relay close quickly and orderly with less internal arcing.
